Book review.
Firstly, the book I chose to read was “My sister’s Keeper” by Jodi Picoult. I think you heard of this author before, because the books written are great!
This book was recommended by my best friend. She summarized the story for me and quoted a sentence she read from the book and at that point of time, I was sure I’m going to finish reading it! I believed this book consists of wonderful and interesting storylines, so I borrowed from her. Furthermore, this book is small and convenient enough for me to bring it along with me, so I can read it as and when I want.
I shall summarize the novel before I start on my second point. There was this girl Anna who was born/made to save her sister, Kate who suffers from leukemia. Anna was born to help Anna fight leukemia; she was the reason why she’s brought to this world. I mentioned (made) because
Next, the reason why I would recommend this book to others. Mainly, it would be because I felt that this book made me realized how much pain some people can actually suffer. I felt that some friends of mine are tired of living, so I would want to recommend this book to them and let them realize how some people out there is trying to get their live going. Hopefully this would give them a wake up call, and cherish their lives and carry on with their lives positively.
Well, I seriously like this part a lot. It might sound a little emotional but it sure is meaningful. So there was this girl Anna who was born/made to save her sister, Kate who suffers from leukemia. Anna was born to help Kate fight leukemia; she was the reason why she’s brought to this world. I mentioned (made) because the parent actually chose the right embryo which has what Kate’s body needs. There was this sentence saying, “If your parents have you for a reason, then that reason better exist. Because once it’s gone, so are you.” Don’t you find this so interesting? Seriously, I’ve never thought of something like that before! From this I learnt that there could be people doing things like this just to save their children. I learnt to put myself into people’s shoe, like trying to have a taste of how Anna feels. I also learnt something from the quote above. My friend asked me, “Do you love for a reason?” I said, “no.” Then she said “good, and told me that sentence, because if you love with a reason, then if that reason is gone, you won’t love anymore.”
That’s about the book.

Its a second post of the English blog!
Firstly, I would like to define what actually a team to me is. This word has a deeper meaning. To me, a team needs to have love, because with love, nothing dreadful will happen. No one will harm anyone! In a real team, people will learn to give and take. In there, everyone has this special feeling, we feel happy being together. We lose as a team, we win as a team. Losing is nothing to us, because we lose together... I still missed the times we had last year, the team which I would never ever forget, C’div 2007. And not to forget, in a team there has to be a word respect. We used to respect and like out coach a lot… We call ourselves the dream team, simply because we feel happy together with each other. People might actually laugh at us for being so naïve, but trust me, we’ll make you regret doing so…
Well, the things that may affect the team spirit is usually internal conflicts. Different people have different perspective, so this is how I actually feel.
I guess, it always started because of jealousy. It’s when someone can play really well, or the central of attraction among everybody, people tend to start feeling green and have grudges towards that particular person. I felt that this isn’t what a team should have. And mentioned previously, the word respect is important. I think if the team doesn’t respect of dislikes the coach. It’s really hard to bring the team together, as players would not feel like attending trainings, and things would start to get out of hands.
I believe in a team there would be high and lows. There would be times when everyone is please with one another; however there would be times when we’ve conflicts and are unpleased with one another. I experienced this in my team before, so I think its understandable…
I think one can do to help a team, is to stay positive. It might be tough to salvage a sinking boat, but still nothing is impossible! I believe one can influence others.
That’s what I’ve got to say.
Some pictures to end the post..
